Synthetic Top-Down View of Psychopomp Mosaic with Improved Detail

Using four of the images released by the Greek Ministry of Culture, we've combined the high-resolution "closeup" views of Hermes, Hades, and central horse with the low-resolution "overall view" of the psychopomp mosaic to create a more complete image of the mosaic:

UPDATE: New images showing the complete mosaic have been released, and it's a beauty! We have incorporated two of the new close up views (of Hades and Persephone) into the full mosaic below; we have not included Hermes nor the horse closeups from the previous press release because they were photographed under different lighting conditions and just ruin the overall appearance of the full view. We have also corrected for the "fish eye lens" effect of the original image:
